There’s no form here, on purpose

Contact forms are usually a small box with small type, and they throw your message away if you take too long over it. Your own email program already has your text size, your spellcheck, and your keep button. Use that instead.

There is no telephone number and no postal address to give you — email is the only way we can promise to answer. If email is difficult, ask someone to send one on your behalf and put your own name in it; we will reply to whichever address it came from.

What we especially want to hear

• Anything hard to read or hard to reach. Type too small, colours too faint, a button you can’t hit, a page your screen reader gets lost in. We treat these ahead of everything else. Report a readability problem.
• Puzzle themes you’d like to see. Old radio shows, garden birds, baking, the Great Lakes, hymns, the county you grew up in — the collection grows mostly from suggestions. Suggest a theme.
• What’s working. Genuinely useful. Knowing which puzzles a group enjoyed tells us more than any statistic would.
• Mistakes. A word that doesn’t appear in the grid, a spelling slip, a puzzle that prints badly on your printer. Tell us and we will fix it. Report a problem.

Activity directors and caregivers

If you run an activity hour at a senior center, a library, a church, a memory care or assisted living program, a day program, or a classroom, you are already welcome to print and photocopy any puzzle on this site for your group at no charge. You do not need to ask first.

If you’re reporting a problem

Any of this helps, and none of it is required — a message that just says “the letters on the puzzle page are too pale for me” is a perfectly good bug report.

• The page you were on, or the name of the puzzle.
• What you were trying to do, and what happened instead.
• Your device and browser if you know them — a phone, an iPad, Chrome on a laptop.
• Whether you were using a screen reader, magnifier, or the high-contrast setting.

What happens next

We’re small, so replies come from a person rather than a ticketing system, and readability problems are looked at before anything else. We use your address only to answer you — never for a mailing list, and never passed on to anyone. That is spelled out on the privacy page.
