We call this line Gentle: eight words instead of twelve, on a roomier grid, with nothing hidden backwards and nothing on a slant.
A second, quieter line of the same puzzles. Ten letters across instead of twelve, eight words instead of twelve, and every word reads left to right or straight down — never backwards, never on a slant. The letters print bigger, because there is more room for them.

What is different, exactly
- Eight words, not twelve
- Every gentle puzzle hides 8 words. The regular line hides 12. A shorter list is a puzzle you can finish in one sitting.
- A roomier grid
- 10 letters across instead of twelve, so each letter square is bigger and the letters print at 31.3 point.
- Across and down only
- No word runs backwards and no word runs on a slant. If you are reading left to right or straight down, you are looking the right way.
- A word list you can read from the table
- The printed list is set at 22 point, with a tick box beside each word.
- The same paper, the same price
- One sheet, one answer key, sized for US Letter and A4. Free to print, with no account and nothing to install.

Printing a set for a group
Each puzzle prints as two sheets — the puzzle and its answer key — on US Letter or A4. If you are running a session for a room, the make your own puzzle book page collects several puzzles into one file to print in a single pass, and how the big print is measured gives the printed letter sizes if you need them for a purchase order.
